Our expert development team can analyze, match, and improve existing sauces, seasonings, and jams — turning great ideas into fully compliant, ready-to-sell products for your brand.

Direct & Professional

At Imperial Polk Bottling Company, we specialize in professional product duplication and flavor recreation, helping brands replicate, refine, and scale existing products for commercial success.

Precision, Consistency, Confidentiality.

Our duplication process combines flavor science, regulatory expertise, and industry insight to help you recreate or improve products while maintaining complete confidentiality and compliance.

Our Duplication Process

Step 1: Product Evaluation & Sample Submission

We begin with a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to protect your project and brand. Once signed, send us a sample of the product you’d like to replicate. Our team will conduct a full evaluation, reviewing:

  • Ingredient composition and flavor profile

  • Texture, color, and consistency

  • Viscosity and separation stability

  • Heat level, sweetness, acidity, and shelf life considerations

We may request additional information about your desired changes, ingredient restrictions (e.g., no high-fructose corn syrup, allergen-free, vegan), or packaging preferences.

Step 2: Reverse Engineering & Formula Development

Our development lab will analyze your sample and reconstruct a similar formula using high-quality bulk ingredients that match or enhance the original flavor — all while keeping your costs manageable.

  • R&D Fee: Starts at $400 per product for duplication and testing.

  • Timeline: Approximately 2–4 weeks for initial sample completion.

  • Customization: We can modify the formula to adjust sweetness, spice, salt content, or texture to better fit your target market or brand identity.

You’ll receive a sample batch for review and tasting, along with a breakdown of production costs before moving forward.

Step 3: Packaging, Nutritional Analysis & Labeling

Once you approve your duplicated sample, we’ll help prepare your product for retail production.

  • Packaging Options: Choose from a wide range of bottles, jars, and closures that fit your style and budget.

  • Nutritional Analysis: $150 per formula ($25 per additional size) for full compliance and labeling accuracy.

  • Label Design & Branding: Available as an add-on service. We can help align your label design with FDA and USDA requirements.

  • UPC Codes: Required for retail or online sales; available for $25 each.

Your final formula will meet all required FDA and Florida Department of Agriculture labeling standards — ensuring your new product is 100% market-ready.

Step 4: Testing, Certification & Production

All sauces and similar products must undergo independent lab testing to confirm shelf-life and product stability.

  • Process Authority Letter: Required by the FDA and FDACS. Typical cost: $250–$550 depending on complexity.

  • Seasonings & Rubs: Exempt from this requirement.

After certification, your product is ready for commercial production. Imperial Polk Bottling Co. maintains ownership of any commercial duplication formulas developed through this process — ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency with every batch.
